Terms & Conditions

Jackson County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no connection to a government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides consumer reports or FCRA-covered services. The material cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenancy, or another regulated decision.

Nature of the Service

This private reference points to inmate, jail, release, court, and supervision resources serving Jackson County and Kentucky. It stores no official records, cannot confirm custody, cannot release anyone, and cannot file a record request or legal document for a visitor. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency. Outside research tools may appear, but they remain separate services.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use of the site requires lawful and respectful conduct.

  • Do not violate any law.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Do not make a hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or other regulated decision from site content.
  • Do not seek access to systems or data without authorization.
  • Do not operate bots, scrapers, or bulk collection tools.
  • Do not disrupt access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not offer background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use any information for hiring or firing, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance premiums, licenses, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Services

Links may lead to jail and release records, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, legal resources, and outside search providers. They are offered as navigation aids. This site does not endorse or control the content, privacy practices, data handling, terms, security, or uptime of a destination. Review its terms before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." No warranty is made that information is accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, free of errors or security defects, or that a partner search will be thorough. Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement from Jackson County, JCDC, Kentucky DOC, a court, or any other government agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its owners, contributors, and partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its owners, contributors, and partners from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Materials

Unless a source is separately credited, site text, graphics, logos, organization, and code belong to Jackson County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, republished, or modified without written permission. Government records reached through a link remain subject to their own rules.

Term Changes and Access

These terms may change at any time, and a revised version takes effect when posted. Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time and without notice, including when use threatens the service or violates these terms.

Kentucky Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kentucky.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Terms Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contacts page. Custody and record questions belong with the office that holds the information.
